The FERS annuity supplement is an extra payment some FERS retirees receive until age 62. When it ends, your monthly income falls to the basic pension. The Compare chart shows this drop for each retire date. If you work after retiring, the earnings test can reduce the supplement.

A survivor benefit lowers your own annuity so that your survivor receives a monthly amount after you. Highthree shows your pension after the reduction and the monthly amount your survivor gets. You can choose none, partial or full.

Open Compare and choose up to three retire dates. The chart shows monthly income by age for each date, and the table lists pension, supplement and income before and after 62.

It shows the first day each retirement rule is met, from your birth date and service start: MRA plus 30, MRA plus 10, age 60 with 20 years and age 62 with 5 years. Tap a row to set your retire date to that day.
